About Seven Lions

Seven Lions is an American EDM artist known for his epic combinations of trance, dubstep, and other electronic music styles. ∙ After spending his teen years as a drummer in a variety of punk and metal bands, he attended his first rave in 2007 and started producing trance. ∙ His big break came in 2012, when he entered—and won—a remix competition put on by trance act Above & Beyond, reworking their song “You Got to Go.” ∙ Seven Lions dropped the debut EP Polarize in 2012 and then quickly signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA label, which issued his Days to Come EP a few months later. ∙ “Don’t Leave,” the lead track from 2014’s Worlds Apart EP, featured a guest appearance by British pop singer Ellie Goulding. ∙ Worlds Apart kicked off a run of three straight Top 5 entries on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart—the second of those, 2015’s The Throes of Winter, hit No. 1. ∙ A wide variety of artists—including Florence + the Machine, Paul van Dyk, Delerium, Röyksopp, Ferry Corsten, and Excision—have tapped Seven Lions to remix tracks.
