Vicente Fernández Essentials

The man who popularized ranchera music throughout the world, Vicente Fernández was born in 1940 and began singing as a young boy. After he had been turned down by multiple record labels, CBS Mexico finally took a chance on Fernández in 1966. Thanks to his commanding voice and electrifying performances backed by a traditional mariachi band, Fernández finally became a household name throughout Latin America in the late '70s. He went on to win multiple Latin GRAMMY® Awards and star in more than 40 films, and this collection features the powerful rancheras that made him a superstar. Fernández died in December 2021 at the age of 81.
