In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, I was exposed to artists ranging from Julie Andrews to Fleetwood Mac. But my earliest musical memory is hearing K.D. Lang's 'Constant Craving' while in the backseat of my dad's car on the way to kindergarten when I was around 6. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lana Del Rey, Born to Die Lana Del Rey’s ‘Born to Die’: Emile Haynie and Lana Del Rey's collaboration redefined what music could be. A collaboration between a film score composer (Larry Gold), and a hip-hop producer (Emile Haynie), was groundbreaking for me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Iron Giant” ‘The Iron Giant’ is incredibly special to me. It’s about an electronic, humanoid robot and his longing to feel human and connect with a distant species. Yearning to be something you’re not, for love. It was one of my last works before I got sober. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Taking my Mom to London with me for the premiere of my first feature film I scored, ‘Lady Like’, at BFI's Flare Festival. Walking the red carpet, exploring London together, and watching the film. That’s one of the most memorable moments in my career. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Lots. But, one of the big ones is to know, and see that people in Berlin, Germany, are listening and dancing to my music.
