NGK (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

NGK is more than just a pacy political thriller, and prolific composer Yuvan Shankar Raja’s multi-hued soundtrack mirrors the epic movie's emotional spectrum. Opener "Thandalkaaran" is a witty takedown of corruption carried along by a mesmerising wave of percussive beats. On "Thimiranumda", Jithin Raj's cool vocals are laced with tabla and flute, and builds into an Auto-Tuned crescendo. However, the standout here is romantic slow burner "Anbae Peranbae", a lilting duet between Sid Sriram and Shreya Ghoshal that's pure pop magic.
