Known for his gritty corridos about the drug trade in Mexico, banda singer Tito Torbellino debuted with his band El Torbellino in 2002. While his unflinching tales of crime and corruption made him a star, he also played moving and romantic ballads, including a hit duet with Espinoza Paz. Torbellino's career was tragically cut short in 2014, when he was murdered by a group of gunmen in Sonora, Mexico. But his legacy lives on in the captivating songs he wrote about the men and women making a life along the border.
