The Raveonettes Essentials

The Raveonettes Essentials

Although The Raveonettes have a killer list of influences—Phil Spector, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, the Everlys—the indie duo's sound is undeniably their own. Multi-instrumentalists Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo met in Copenhagen in 2001, and incited a major-label bidding war just one year later, ultimately signing to Columbia Records. The band's major label debut, Chain Gang of Love, was met with enthusiastic reviews in 2003, and the prolific duo released seven more well-received albums over the next 11 years.
