Teddy Pendergrass Essentials

Teddy Pendergrass Essentials

Beginning his career as the singer for Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes during the early ‘70s, Teddy Pendergrass could bring the intensity of a testifying preacher even to tender love songs. When he went solo in 1977, his mix of soul power and undeniable sex appeal soon made him the king of sensual music. He would go on to rule the quiet storm genre over the next several years, though a car crash in 1982 tragically left him paralysed.
