Within Miami's tropical-music landscape, Lafame has emerged as a powerhouse production company melding salsa urbana with reggaetón star power. Lafame is helmed by producer Ricardo Quijano, better known as Fresh Kid Cue, who started DJing at Miami nightclubs before becoming a buzzy tastemaker on a beloved local radio station. Rubbing elbows with industry bigwigs led to a record deal with Universal Music in 2016, and Lafame debuted the following year with a string of hit singles including “Quédate Conmigo (Versión Salsa)”, featuring Wisin and Gente de Zona, as well as contributing vocals to KAROL G’s “Como Tú Ninguna”. As Lafame's superstar collaborations grew to include Sebastián Yatra and Don Omar, Quijano also recruited July Rodríguez and Edward Grullón to round out his blockbuster Miami sound machine.
