Jethro Tull Essentials

Jethro Tull Essentials

Despite the name, nobody in this legendary prog rock band is actually named Jethro, including the charismatic lead singer/flute player. That's Ian Anderson, whose hardcore skills on the wind instrument became an increasingly prominent feature of the band's performances as they evolved from playing jazz-blues fusion to progressive rock. By the early ‘70s, their experimental vibe was yielding crossover hits on mainstream radio. Ever willing to explore the unknown, Jethro Tull would come to incorporate folk rock and world music influences into their songs to become leaders in their field.
