Jethro Tull: Deep Cuts

Jethro Tull: Deep Cuts

Jethro Tull's prog rock is complex, heavy and demanding, but it can also be enchantingly beautiful. Their ballads are moving forays into otherworldly folk rock: “Look Into the Sun” has a sad-eyed Ian Anderson longingly reflecting on spurned love, while “Cold Wind to Valhalla" is a sweetly meditative showcase of the band's acoustic picking. Even the jazzy '60s rocker “Sunshine Day” dazzles with its twirling harmonies and euphoric swing.
