It's no mistake that jazz pianist Barry Harris' style reflects some of bop and hard bop's most colourful voices—he played alongside a ton of them. His perfectly timed chords anchored Lee Morgan's vibrant melodies (“The Sidewinder”), and on “Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me)”, you can hear his dreamy clouds of pitches envelop Dexter Gordon's smooth saxophone like a warm hug.
