Justin Taylor

About Justin Taylor

Justin Taylor is one of France's leading young harpsichordists. He has gained notice both as a soloist and as the leader of the chamber ensemble he founded, Le Consort, which he formed with violinists Théotime Langlois de Swarte and Sophie de Bardonnèche, and Louise Pierrard on viola da gamba. Taylor also won the Alpha Prize Competition mounted by the Alpha label; that win came with the opportunity to record for the label, and he released the album La Famille Forqueray: Portrait(s) in 2016. Taylor's recordings have focused on Baroque music but have been original in conception; his second album was Continuum: Scarlatti, Ligeti. In 2023, Taylor released the album Bach & l'Italie.
