About El Consorcio

Spanish vocal group El Consorcio was formed in 1993 by ex-Mocedades Amaya, Estíbaliz, and Iñaki Uranga, along with Sergio Blanco and Carlos Zubiaga. Performing songs inspired by everyday life and love, El Consorcio's first album, called Lo Que Núnca Muere, was produced in 1993 by Rosa León and followed by 1995's Peticiones del Oyente and 1996's Programa Doble. Two years later, El Consorcio got involved in a project with prominent Cuban musicians, recording an album based on traditional Cuban songs called Cuba, which was finished after recording sessions in Miami, London, and Madrid. In the year 2000, Las Canciones de mi Vida was released. ~ Drago Bonacich
