In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At age four, I discovered Usher. My cousins lent me a DVD of his 8701 tour. It was mesmerising. I would stay up trying to learn his songs and his moves. I ended up wearing the DVD out with the number of times I'd rewatch it. I wanted to be like him. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, Bon Iver Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city (Deluxe Version) Bon Iver has encapsulated incredible memories and moments from my early teen years. Kanye's MBDTF was the first album I'd heard that took me on a journey through a story, like a movie. Kendrick showed me just how powerful a story could really be. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Hey, Stunner” Hey, Stunner was a song that happened effortlessly. It wasn't supposed to be on the project, but the session where it emerged was so seamless. I made the song with my friend Bubele Booi, who I look up to, and it was an incredible experience. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable experiences of my career was a writing camp that I had in Cape Town in 2023. After a session, I was alone in the studio messing with my vocal delivery and I stumbled upon a sound that I felt authentically represented me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Getting on a plane and travelling to a different part of the world to perform live for an audience of people is definitely a big thing on my artistic bucket list.
