Ty Dolla $ign is thankful that he’s able to pace himself and spend some quality time with his family during this shelter-in-place period. “Especially for me being an artist, and always being on the go, now I've got to sit down and have real conversations with my daughter and the family,” Ty tells Apple Music. “I can just hang out and deal with life, so that's been beautiful, actually.” While Ty is hunkered down, he’s been getting back to playing live instruments like bass and guitar, working out and trying his best to meditate, and skateboarding. Listening to tracks from the likes of Shuggie Otis and Tee Grizzley soothes him while he’s at the gym and doing house chores; both of those artists are featured on his exclusive Apple Music playlist, as is his collaboration with rapper Russ, “3AM”. “That’s one of my favourite songs,” he says. “He actually goes in and does his own beats, that's him on the computer. It was dope just getting in with a real artist.”
