Patty Loveless Essentials

Kentucky native Patty Loveless earned her first break in Nashville as a teenager, singing with her brother Roger. By the early '70s, she was performing alongside country veterans like Porter Wagoner and The Wilburn Brothers. A stint on the honky-tonk circuit took her out of the country mainstream, but she returned to Nashville in the mid '80s and scored the first of more than 40 singles on the Billboard country chart. Her potent mix of classic country and rock has earned her a following among fans and musicians alike, as well as membership in the Grand Ole Opry.
