First emerging on the Parisian scene in 2011, Dosseh put out a series of mixtapes and collaborations featuring big-name artists like Seth Gueko and Joke. His style spans hardcore and gangsta rap, with beats built around a heavy sub-bass and a huge bass drum, plus some loopy keyboard harmonies—while “Bando”, from his street release Perestroïka, is a bouncy but dark midtempo tune reminiscent of early Dr. Dre. Occasionally mixing things up with vocoder effects as on "Scarla", Dosseh can also pull out decadent mellow groove and suspenseful synths, as on Perestroïka's opening track "Illuminati".
