About The Burning Bush

The Jewish music ensemble Burning Bush is led by singer/violinist/rebec player Lucie Skeaping and consists of clarinetist Ben Harlan, guitarist/percussionist Robin Jeffrey, bassist Robert Levy, and trumpet player Kevin Street. The U.K.-based group plays all forms of Jewish music, including klezmer, Sephardic music, Yiddish music, and styles with medieval, Balkan, and Magreb influences. The group released three albums in 1997, The Best of Yiddish, Klezmer & Sephardic Music, Jesus, and Jesus Did It All. The following year Klezmer & Hassidic Music appeared, and Folksongs From Israel was released in 1999. ~ Heather Phares
