About Sandee

A native of South Florida, Sandee was known for embracing a Latin-influenced style of dance music in the 1980s and 1990s. Sandee (whose name is pronounced Sahn-day) was a member of Expose's original lineup, which dance music producer Lewis Martinee assembled in 1984. Sandee performed on Expose's first two Arista singles "Exposed To Love" and "Point of No Return, " both of which were major club hits. After those singles, Expose's original lineup (which also included singer Ale Lorenzo) broke up--and by the time Expose was ready to record its third single, "Come Go With Me, " an entirely new lineup was in place. For Expose's first album Exposure, Martinee chose to re-record "Exposed To Love" and "Point of No Return" with the new lineup--thus, none of Sandee's vocals can be heard on that album. Sandee went solo after Expose, and in 1988, she enjoyed a club hit with her Fever single "Notice Me." In 1991, the singer recorded her RAL solo album, Only Time Will Tell, which included the single "Love Desire." ~ Alex Henderson
