In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mother was a singer; she had a beautiful angelic voice. I remember when I was about 8 yrs old and very shy, she told me if I sing a line of a song she had sung to me, she'd give me 50 cents. And I surprised her with how well I could sing.
