b. 23 May 1973, London, England. Daughter of an English mother and a Chinese-Malaysian father, Yeoh began playing piano as a tiny child and proved to be a gifted pianist. While still in her late teens, she became a professional musician. In 1996, she won The Independent award for Best Jazz Musician Of The Year and in 1999, was a semi-finalist in a Montreux jazz piano contest.
