The lo-fi pop project of Vancouver's Jay Arner and Jessica Delisle, Energy Slime came into being when the couple began writing songs at home while hanging out at home and watching TV. Quickly written, recorded, and mixed, the duo's songs are looser than Arner's gauzy synth pop but share a similar sense of hazy whimsy. Energy Slime first surfaced in January 2014 with the "Bustin' Up" video, which they followed with their official debut, the 13-minute, ten-track effort New Dimensional, that November. ~ Heather Phares
