In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was little my mom gifted me my first harp cd and I was really enchanted by Ravels Introduction and allegro. I played it so often that my family went bananas! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? London Symphony Orchestra, Sir Simon Rattle, Ravel: Daphnis et Chloé, Suite No. 2 - Single Murray Perahia, Murray Perahia - The Bach Album Various Artists, Pina Soundtrack (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) They give me a great deal of energy and inspiration, each in their own style. They are performed with the highest musical underpinnings and are therefore a tremendous motivation to continue as a musician and to search ever further for perfection! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Two Japanese Folksongs: I. Falling Cherry Blossoms” This music is so enchanting, I get goosebumps and sometimes a little tear when I play this. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The world prèmiere of Eolian, a new concerto for harp, written especially for me by the marvelous composer Geoffrey Gordon. I was privileged to perform this together with Brussels Philharmonic in October of 2022. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to continue to inspire composers of today to write new compositions for harp.
