About D Rose

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first time recording happened when I was going through a break up. I felt like I needed to try something new. I was hanging out with two of my best friends while they were working on music. I asked if I could make a song, and the rest was history! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eminem, Curtain Call: The Hits (Deluxe Edition) Deluxe Version G-Unit, Beg For Mercy USHER, Confessions (Expanded Edition) My first favorite song ever was, "Yeah!" by Usher. I asked for the album and special edition, for Christmas. G-Unit and Eminem came later on, and in 5th grade, my friends and I made our own rap group, "D-Unit" (we even had sweaters made by my Nanna!) Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Dad's Song (Dee Rose)” Without a doubt, this is my favorite song. I made it for my Dad, a few days after he passed away unexpectedly. It was the hardest moment of my life, and this was my way of dealing with it. I would repeatedly break down into tears, but I finished it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The most memorable moment really has been the entire journey. Seeing my growth from day one to now, has me excited for the future. Losing my Dad was tough, but that's what changed me as an artist; I evolved. I changed my sound and stayed true to me. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Music saved me. I honestly don't know where I'd be without it. Nothing else matters when I'm in the studio. I don't really have a bucket list, but if I had to pick something, it would be to just inspire one person, and be their reason for hope.
