In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 3, my dad brought home Imants Kalnins's "Put Vejini" on vinyl. I was both scared and fascinated by the electric guitar and symphony orchestra. The music left a lasting impression on me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? János Starker, Bach: The Cello Suites by János Starker Nigel Kennedy, Vivaldi: The Four Seasons Oscar Peterson, Stéphane Grappelli, Skol (with Joe Pass, Mickey Roker & Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen) Skol - my favorite jazz artists meet on this album, Kennedy's Vivaldi album revitalized the classical music world. And Starker's recording remains one of the most selfless performances. No ego, no frills, no tricks - just a pure flow of music.
