Russia Honours Black Music

This year, in honour of Black Music Month, we’re exploring the undeniable impact of Black music and musicians around the world. As Russia and the CIS have few local Black artists, this collection focuses on songs with significant influence from Black culture—primarily from local hip-hop artists. Miyagi & Andy Panda have been extremely successful in their use of reggae and reggaetón elements from the very beginning of the duo's career, and continue to do so now. OBLADAET, with his latest album, has shown how UK drill can sound with a local Russian approach, while kizaru consistently demonstrates his vision of US trap music.
