Mild are not out to shock or to rock. The six-strong band from Chiang Mai aim to please and entertain with their smooth, soothing pop. With a dedicated saxophonist and keyboardist, Mild take their cue from the best of Thai pop and pick up a bit of funk, soul, R&B and hip-hop along the way. Mild released their first song in 2007—still in their teens—and their debut eponymous album in 2008. The 2009 hit “Unloveable” propelled the band to national stardom. Mild have since broadened their smooth pop to include upbeat party tunes.
