Fitness: Ride, March 2024 (DJ Mix)

Each month, the Apple Music Fitness Mix is helmed by one of dance and electronic music’s best DJs to deliver the perfect workout set. This month’s edition comes from Vancouver producer Nostalgix (real name: Negar Hamidzadeh), who crafts a mix for your next ride. “I’ve had some of my best workouts while listening to my favourite songs,” she tells Apple Music. “Music always pushes me to try harder and show up better.” Hamidzadeh is mindful of pacing and tempo, weaving high-energy tracks for warm-ups and sprints with more reflective moments for catching your breath. Her own track “Real Girls” featuring Dev appears toward the end of the journey after a particularly fast-and-furious stretch. “It’s the perfect song to slow everything down for a second—to allow the listener to tune in to their emotions,” she says. Later on, she serves up TWINSICK’s remix to David Guetta and Sia’s “Titanium”, a track that she says has always inspired her. “It’s the perfect song for releasing heavy emotions and looking inwards at your strength,” she says.
