About Brody Brown

Primarily a songwriter and producer specializing in a fresh, 21st century approach to retro-tinged R&B and pop, Brody Brown is a Compton, California-born multi-instrumentalist renowned for his chart-topping work with Bruno Mars, Adele, and CeeLo Green, among others. He co-wrote and played on a 2010 smash hit single by Green before contributing to Mars' ubiquitous multi-Grammy-nominated Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Later, Brown co-composed "All I Ask," a ballad from Adele's 2015 Grammy-winning album 25, which showcased his deft piano playing. He joined Shampoo Press & Curl prior to their work on Mars' 2016 multi-award-winning 24K Magic. Following his involvement in high-profile projects with Kesha, Nipsey Hussle, Ed Sheeran, and Alicia Keys, he helped create Silk Sonic's hugely successful 2021 debut single "Leave the Door Open." In 2023, Brown issued his debut solo album, The Kickback, a concise affair that evoked the relaxed vibe of '90s R&B.
