Os Mutantes: Deep Cuts

Os Mutantes: Deep Cuts

In a new century, Brazil's Os Mutantes experienced a renaissance well after their ‘60s heyday and ‘70s rock makeover, reforming and touring. The band's many sonic tricks bring giddiness to Gilberto Gil's “Pega a Voga, Cabeludo” and add Indian sitar and tabla to “Bangladesh”. The hard rock edge of “Jardim Elétrico” and “Haleluia” shows they could even throw in a delirious operatic twist or two.
