Geoff Muldaur Essentials

Geoff Muldaur's gift for finding fresh ways to tap into old-school folk and blues sounds has made him a crucial figure in American roots music. In the mid-‘60s, his acoustic guitar and rich, soulful voice enlivened folk revival avatars the Jim Kweskin Jug Band. Later he became the singer for Paul Butterfield's Better Days group, expanding the Chicago bluesman's sound in the process, before moving on to a string of intriguingly eclectic solo outings. From rough-and-ready country blues fingerpicking to dizzying swirls of gospel, folk and soul, Muldaur is a true Americana auteur.
