Benjamin Wallfisch Essentials

Long before he scored Dear Wendy in 2005, British composer and conductor Benjamin Wallfisch had already made plenty of big moves, writing his first piece when he was only 10, racking up dozens of commissions and conducting at both the London Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Still, he's best known for his film and television works, including the scores for Hidden Figures and Blade Runner 2049, which he cowrote with Hans Zimmer. Occasionally referencing pop forms, Wallfisch weaves effortlessly between serene reflection, pulse-quickening climaxes and triumphant themes, all with pan-stylistic fluency.
