Mark Tremonti's immense guitar rips through the ground-shaking post-grunge rager “Rise Today”, but he can switch gears with a classical acoustic flourish (“Cry of Achilles”) or a clean, captivating line (“Broken Wings”). And the band has a knack for anthemic choruses, as the soaring “Open Your Eyes" attests.
