Alexandre Desplat has written music for more than 100 movies since the mid-‘80s, incorporating haunting orchestral movements with grand percussion and a touch of jazz. His heroic march with low brass and strings is featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—Part 2, while his French polka with accordion, harp and flutes rounds out Julie & Julia.
