Sharon White

About Sharon White

Sharon White was just a kid when she began performing in her parents' band, the Down Home Folks, who eventually became the Whites. The group charted a single in 1981 and hit the Top Ten of the country chart in 1982. White married Whites collaborator Ricky Skaggs, and in 1983 the group's first album as the Whites, Old Familiar Feeling, appeared. The Whites placed four singles in the Top Ten in 1983 and 1984, then released four albums between 1984 and 1988. White and Skaggs recorded one single together, "Love Can't Ever Get Better Than This," but it wasn't until 2014 that they were able to release their long-rumored duets album, Hearts Like Ours. ~ Steve Leggett
