Metaphor

About Metaphor

Metaphor was formed in California in 1993 by Malcolm Smith (guitar) as a Genesis tribute band. He was joined by Marc Spooner (keys), Bob Koehler (drums), Vince Montia (bass), and his brother Robert (vocals). Shortly afterwards, the band began working on original material, deciding to drop the Genesis orientation. By 1996, the Montia brothers had left the group. Their absences were filled by 1997. The new bassist in the group was Jim Post, and John Mabry became the new singer. The group released their first album, Starfooted, in 2000. Later that year, Post left Metaphor and was replaced by Jim Anderson. ~ Gary Hill
