In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad was one of Motown’s biggest songwriters. I used to love to go to the studio with him as a little girl and watch him produce songs on some of the most legendary artists of our time. It’s so ingrained into my being and who I am as an artist. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? London Symphony Orchestra, Sir Georg Solti, Immortal Beloved Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Michael Jackson, Thriller Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life 1. Some of the most melodic, memorable songs by the greatest of all time, Stevie Wonder. 2. Listening to this album just makes me feel good. Michael Jackson will forever remain one of my favorite artists. 3. Beethoven’s music is part of my soul. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “For Once In My Life” This is my father’s biggest hit. Lyrically and musically, it’s unparalleled. When a song can be reimagined for every generation in every genre, its power resonates on a different level. My favorite recording is by Oliver Richman, my son. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Stevie Wonder invited me and my son, Oliver Richman, to share the stage with him at his House Full of Toys concert. I sang “If I Could,” which my father wrote for me and my siblings. Oliver sang my dad's song "One Little Christmas Tree." Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The more I do, the more I realize how much more I want to do. As an artist, I hope I’m always evolving. I keep dreaming, experiencing, and exploring new depths. I get to imagine and create. In the bucket lives the things I didn’t know, I didn’t know.
