These Belgian rockers shot to prominence in the 1999 HUMO Rock Rally contest, with an alternative style that augmented mainstream rock trends of the early noughties. The band's debut EP, Love Affair, reflects an angsty charisma, conveyed through lead vocalist Koen Buyse's impassioned vocals. In more recent years Zornik's sound has transitioned towards searing, melodic guitar riffs, which—when meshed with Buyse's dynamic performance style—have led to comparison with Muse; qualities evident in the explosive, high energy track "Black Hope Shot Down".
