Australian pop-rock band Sherbet (who later released under the names Highway and The Sherbs—their New Wave incarnation) were huge in Australia's teen-pop market in the '70s and scored a string of hits. In the middle of the decade, they released "Summer Love" which incorporated heavy bluesy guitar riffs and a sugary sweet verse, and "Howzat", that has since become a cricket anthem. Later on, they would produce the dramatic progressive pop of "Magazine Madonna". After many more hits, they disbanded in 1984 but have since reunited several times.
