Mark D. Sanders: The Songwriters

Wildly successful Nashville songwriter Mark D. Sanders penned some of the biggest country hits of the '90s. The Los Angeles native moved to Music City to forge a music career at the relatively late age of 30. After a decade of honing his craft, the GRAMMY® nominee began to gain traction, selling songs to artists such as Tracy Lawrence and Diamond Rio. By the end of the '90s, he had racked up an astonishing 14 U.S. number ones, with five of them coming in '95 alone. Sanders is a two-time ASCAP Songwriter of the Year recipient and in '09 he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
