Created by the Motel Forlanini collective, M¥SS KETA has captured Italy’s zeitgeist. Mysterious, always veiled and disorienting, the performer never shows her true self, which adds to her deliberately dizzying character. Released in 2013, the club-kid aesthetic and sound of debut single “Milano, Sushi & Coca” turned heads throughout Italy. With echoes of ‘80s and ‘90s house culture, M¥SS KETA makes big beats with tongue-in-cheekiness and on-the-nose pop culture references, resulting in Italo disco that’s timeless.
