Beginning in the early '80s, singer Robinson Damián and accordionist Ramiro Colmenares crafted a vast catalogue of vivacious tunes as Los Embajadores Vallenatos. Their symbiotic partnership—with its tight harmonies, intertwining grooves and an explosive energy—yielded a rich and infectious sound. The Colombian duo took the playful, high-energy Vallenatos traditions and infused them with propulsive rock riffs and layered, rippling percussion.
