Crashing onto the scene in 2010 with “Sun In My Pocket”, a song that would go on to redefine SA’s pop landscape, twins Andrew and Brian Chaplin captured the hearts and the attention of a teen audience unlike any duo before them. After coming into their own in front of the cameras, scooping Best African Act at the MTV Awards (2011), Best Newcomer and Best Selling Album at the SAMAs (2011), the singer-songwriters shed their pop personas in favour of experimentation. Underpinned by their distinctive vocal drawl, they cast their genre-net wide to include elements of EDM and hip-hop while also beginning to dabble in production. From the tropical house stylings of their smash hit “Cold Shoulder” (2016) to the bouncy electronic drop of “Lemon Moon” (2018), this duo continue to explore their songwriting and production capabilities, while consistently churning out the dancefloor hits.
