At their core, The Gaslight Anthem are as all-American as Springsteen. This shows in their feverish heartland rock, which mixes the Boss' rousing hits with Tom Petty's eclectic take on Americana. Their sound also has its grungy moments, as when frontman Brian Fallon growls like Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, and they get a little inspiration from the UK too, echoing The Clash's fiery punk hooks.
