Garnett Silk Essentials

Considered a reggae prodigy, Garnet Smith started out as Little Bimbo before his impossibly smooth voice earned him the nickname "Silk," and led to his meteoric rise in both reggae and dancehall. Signature tunes like "Complaint" and "Oh Me Oh My" are considered classics, and Silk worked with some of reggae's top artists, including Buju Banton and Tony Rebel. Sadly, his career was cut short in 1994 when he died trying to save his mother from a house fire. Silk is remembered as one of reggae's most naturally gifted artists.
