Eric Vloeimans Essentials

Eric Vloeimans fuses contemporary jazz, pop, world and film music with classical fundamentals, and has been releasing articulately melodic albums since the early ‘90s. His improv style echoes that of Miles Davis, with sombre, muted trumpet played in well-spaced phrases. Vloeimans also has the ability to adapt to various grooves, be it the bouncing hip-hop of “Prince of Darkness” or Brazilian bossa on “Into the Sun”. In 2013 he released Oliver's Cinema, an album combining a unique trio of trumpet, cello and accordion, including the seductive love song “L'amour Des Moules”.
