Broussaï Essentials

Seven-member reggae act Broussaï emerged from Eastern France with a brief EP in 2003, and they've been a major force ever since. Even through angry anthems like “Violence in the Street” (from their 2015 album In the Street), the band has stayed on message, as summed up in their popular cut “Positive”: “Live positive—that's the only way we have to live”. The band has long stamped its head-bobbing reggae with other influences—hip-hop, pop synths and rock guitar all show up, but at their core, Broussaï are reggae through and through.
