About The Boys from Indiana

While the Boys From Indiana played bluegrass with the veneer of familiar about it, the trio centered itself around the crack songwriting of Aubrey Holt, a spry scribe with an affinity for travel, history, and the darker side of relationships. Original tracks like the minor hit "Atlanta is Burning" made them a sensation on the bluegrass circuit, separating them from the mass of outfits rehashing 50-year-old songbooks. In the 1980s, the family act - three brothers and an uncle - were a major touring force, playing venues ranging from the Grand Ole Opry to the White House (at the bequest of President Bush). The Boys' final record came in 1992 with TOUCHIN' HOME.
