In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I performed with my brother and best friend at school, we did a rendition of Bob Dylan’s ‘I Shall Be Released’. My brother and I had come to love the song through The Band’s version and tried our hardest to emulate a couple of those harmonies! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bruce Springsteen, Born In the U.S.A. Carole King, Tapestry Paolo Nutini, Sunny Side Up (Deluxe Version) All three are classic examples of incredible songwriting and distinctive vocals . Extraordinary and timeless bodies of work from artists that span generations and speak from their hearts . Tell us why you chose this song. “I Love Her So” ‘I Love Her So’ started out as a simple acoustic number and in the studio it evolved into a full-blown Motown vibe! It was the first song I wrote for my wife and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m very proud to have it on Apple! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? That would be going on tour with Martha Wainwright. She was my first song writing hero and it was such a thrill to see her live every night. I’ve had many great moments in my career so far, but that is the pick of the bunch. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to play the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. It’s hallowed ground for any Country music artist and some of the greatest artists of all time have stood on that stage. One day, maybe!
