Though Baltimore noise pop purveyors Ponytail began as a scruffy art school project they quickly evolved beyond the inspired, but hastily composed and recorded thrashings of their 2007 debut KAMEHAMEHA to become a tightly disciplined experimental combo that merged blasts of abstract noise with tuneful pop melodies. Their sophomore album, ICE CREAM SPIRITUAL! was one of the more critically acclaimed indie releases of 2008.
